Replit does not expose a permissive CORS API, so these checks confirm DNS, TCP, and TLS reachability from your browser. For agent/build queue issues, see Replit's official status page.

Common Replit issues

  • Agent runs stalling mid-request

Replit Agent depends on upstream LLM providers. When Anthropic or OpenAI degrade, agent runs queue or time out even though the IDE and your Repl stay responsive.

  • Deployment stuck in 'Building'

Build queues back up during US-hours peaks and after platform updates. Cancel and redeploy after 10 minutes; a stuck build almost never recovers on its own.

  • Preview URL 502s

*.replit.dev previews restart when your Repl hibernates. Open the workspace to wake it, or promote to a Deployment for always-on hosting.

Background

Replit was founded by Amjad Masad, Faris Masad, and Haya Odeh in 2016 as a browser IDE for learning to code. It expanded into hosting, then bounties, and by 2024 had pivoted hard to AI-native development with Replit Agent — an autonomous coding agent that ships whole apps from a prompt. Deployments matured alongside, moving from single-VM hosting into Autoscale, Reserved VM, Static, and Scheduled deployment types.

Frequently asked

Is Replit down right now?
The dashboard above polls Replit's public web endpoints from your browser every 15 seconds. A green dot means the front-end is reachable. Agent, build, and deployment issues can occur even when the front-end is green — check Replit's official status page for those.
Why is Replit Agent slow or failing?
Agent failures usually come from Anthropic or OpenAI upstream provider slowdowns, or from Replit's own queue backing up during peak hours. The web app itself often stays reachable through these.
Why did my Deployment stop responding?
Deployments can be paused for exceeded resource limits, cold starts on Autoscale, or region-level incidents. Check the Deployments tab in your Repl and Replit's status page before assuming an outage.

About this check

All data is provided on a best-effort basis with no guarantees about accuracy or availability. This is an unofficial status page and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Replit.

Checks run client-side from your browser against Replit's public endpoints. Latency reflects your network path, not the server's health alone. See our resources for more on how to read these checks.
